Day 64. OFF Hanover

0 miles 0 feet

This is the second full day I have taken off on the trip and it was a great one. I spent it with my sister Judy in Hanover, eating a home-cooked breakfast, going with her to her church, visiting a farm/market in the Connecticut valley and having treats in a sidewalk cafe in Hanover. Hanover is the home to Dartmouth College. If Disney were to create a fictitious New England college town, it might look like Hanover, except Hanover is the authentic article. College green, sidewalk cafes, bookstore(s), and buildings that really are as old as they look. Judy lives here near her daughter, son-in-law, there great young children, and Waldo her Dalmatian.

We talked for hours and enjoyed incredible food, with more to come including the elusive sweet corn I've been after since the midwest.

Today I also made reservations for the remainder of my trip, including a flight from Bar Harbor to Boston! I have 6 days remaining.
